Product Engineer - Automotive

As a  Product Engineer  , you will be responsible for defining and developing product specifications, including raw materials, physical dimensions, manufacturing processes, and process controls. In this role, you will implement and validate design modifications to ensure product performance, reliability, and quality meet KEMET standards while supporting the timely delivery of customer orders.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Manufacturing, Quality, R&D, Supply Chain, and Operations, to drive continuous product and process improvements. The position requires identifying and resolving technical challenges, optimizing product designs for manufacturability, enhancing process capability, and ensuring compliance with quality and performance requirements. This is a full-time, on-site position located at our San Nicolás de los Garza, NL plant.

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, materials engineering, chemical engineering, or a related field.
~3+ years of experience in product design, manufacturing processes, quality engineering, or related areas.

Develop, implement, and validate product design changes to improve performance, quality, and manufacturability.
Establish and monitor process controls to ensure consistent product quality and reliability.
Investigate and resolve technical issues related to product performance, manufacturing processes, and customer concerns.
Analyze product and process data to identify opportunities for optimization and cost reduction.
Advanced English level.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes, process control, and product development.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Focus on quality, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction.
