About the Role
The Global Mobility Sr. Specialist is primarily responsible for supporting the organization's global mobility programs, including facilitating international assignments, ensuring tax and immigration compliance, and educating employees on Global Mobility policies. Furthermore, supports the execution of employee relocations and international assignments by managing day-to-day operational activities. This role ensures the timely coordination of processes such as immigration, relocation logistics, and vendor management, while maintaining compliance with company policies and local regulations.
Responsibilities
Coordinate relocation services through vendors.
Drive the end-to-end international assignment journey, guide and consult the internal and/or external assignee, ensure a seamless execution of the process, providing an excellent assignment experience.
Support internal and external stakeholders with required documentation and status updates.
Track and monitor immigration, tax, and relocation milestones; follow up on pending actions.
Collect and validate employee and assignment data for accuracy in systems and reports.
Provide first-level support to employees on relocation logistics, policy questions, and process steps.
Ensure compliance with company policies and local immigration requirements by following established guidelines.
Maintain accurate data in HR systems, as well as mobility trackers for reporting purposes.
Assist with the launch of an enhanced GM model and associated technologies.
Manage the financial aspect of the assignment process, including income calculations, payment requests, shadow payroll enrollment, year-end compensation collection, and reporting.
Align the GM process with Talent Management model to ensure the right assignment and follow-up in terms of providing career path and future roles.
Prepare and maintain all necessary documents and records for the assignment life cycle.
Ensure, together with the talent acquisition team, that all hiring processes for foreign employees comply with global mobility policies, as well as internal employee transfers to other countries.
Support additional projects, as required.
Qualifications
Degree Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, International Relations, Law, or a related field.
Certification Requirements:
Global Mobility Specialist (GMS) or GMS-T® from WERC is highly valued.
Previous
Experience:
4+ years of international assignments knowledge with a focus on immigration, taxes, social security, local legislation, or related HR service functions.
Travel Requirements:
Typically Local, Regional, National, International (1 or 2 per year).
Language:
Proficient in the English language C1.
Application/Software: SAP, Success Factors, Microsoft Suite.
On Call Requirements: 24/7.
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of global mobility policies and procedures.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience with HR systems and mobility trackers.
Familiarity with tax and immigration regulations.
