Enterprise Security Manager, Mexico
Location:
Monterrey, Mexico
Salary Range: 70000 – 80000 pesos per month (based on experience)
Overview
The Enterprise Security Manager, Mexico, is a key member of the Global Corporate Security team, supporting Mexico and the broader LATAM region. This role is responsible for physical security, travel security, executive protection, and crisis response, while leading security assessments, investigations, and guard force oversight in close coordination with global security leadership and local authorities.
Responsibilities
Support physical security assessments, travel security, and crisis response.
- Crisis activations (natural, manmade, or technological incidents)
- Projects (supply chain security, strike contingency planning)
- Support and conduct investigations: fraud, theft, security breaches
- Physical security technology improvement projects to safeguard personnel and assets including intellectual property
- On-site security assessment processes: high and extreme risk, self-assessments, etc.
- CTPAT process assessments, reviews, training and improvements
- Support Workplace Violence Prevention Training
Support employee safety and Executive Protection in Mexico to include physical security of the C-Suite, Executive Committee and Board of Directors by conducting risk assessments, travel advance work, executing personalized protection plans, and supporting executive protection details as needed for their visit or during travel.
- Conduct location/event risk assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities
- Facilitate security plans for large corporate events and meetings in Mexico
- Coordinate security providers conducting ground support, personal protection, and safe and secure transportation
- Facilitate improvements to the Mexico travel security program
- Conduct ongoing threat analysis and work collaboratively with internal security analysts, cyber, communications and threat investigation teams as it pertains to threats or risks posed to employees or their physical environment.
- Develop and implement security plans to mitigate identified threats
- Respond to security incidents, including workplace violence
Improve and manage security services and procedures, including guard force services, to protect physical assets, personnel, and executives across business markets in Mexico.
- Manages the identification, development, implementation, and sustainment of security processes, practices, and policies to reduce security risks, respond to incidents, and limit exposure.
- Manage improvements to physical security measures for facility access
- Oversee guard force security services in Mexico
- Liaise with Mexico Command Center and Global Security Operations Center leaders and staff to enhance programs and implement best practices
- Provides briefings regarding security efforts (investigations, assessments, programs, and projects) on a regular basis.
Manage relationships with local law enforcement and emergency services.
- Build partnerships to improve communications and improve security outcomes.
- Ensures organizational compliance with local, national, and international regulatory environments where applicable to the accountability of this role.
- Develops and sustains appropriate level relationships with officials in law enforcement, intelligence and other relevant governmental functions as well as private sector counterparts
Key qualifications include:
- At least 5 years of relevant Corporate Security experience in a management position capacity in a regional and/or global role.
- Program and change management experience a must. Experience developing and implementing regional and global security programs, policies and other initiatives.
- Experience in executive protection, relevant law enforcement roles or is a certified protection professional or equivalent.
- Experience in managing guard force operations at the enterprise level.
- Experience making high stress decisions in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
- Ability to make judgements with little or no oversight.
- Strong problem resolution and independent planning.
- Excellent verbal and writing communicator. Uses tact and diplomacy in all interactions.
- Comfortable with senior executives but will not over-insert themselves.
