Description:
This position is responsible for developing occupational health programs that ensure a degree of health and wellness in the workers of the organization, through preventive programs, both for diseases and occupational hazards. It is also responsible for the Medical Service of the plant and Nursing, support in accident investigations and Ergonomics analysis as an integral part of the EHS Hussmann area.
Main Responsibilities:
1.Provide medical care to employees and coordinate necessary services in case of any major incident.
2.Maintains records of employees to whom medical attention is provided and coordinates incident reports supporting in the investigation of the causes and verifying their correction.
3.Manages the incident database and personnel medical records.
4.Coordinates the Medical Service in the plant (Nursing Service).
5.Maintains constant communication and cooperation with department heads to prevent incidents and occupational illnesses.
6.Supports the organization to create a healthy work environment.
7.Supervise and validate the applicable legal requirements in health and hygiene for the organization (STPS, SS, IMSS, LFT, etc.).
8.Participate in the ergonomic analysis for the prevention of musculoskeletal injuries (Musculoskeletal Disorder - MSD).
9.Review in ST7, ST9 and ST2 procedures, as well as commuting accidents.
10.Contact with Health dependencies to integrate the Health Programs.
11.Control and administration of the medicine and its consumption in the plant (savings projects).
12.Provides or coordinates support in training talks to employees on topics such as:
• Sex Education
• Nutrition
• Drug addiction
• Alcoholism
• Family Planning
• Contraceptive methods
• Other
13.Manages the database of incidents and medical records of the staff.
14.Coordinate the medical examinations for personnel entry and periodic medical evaluations of employees who require it.
15.Maintain contact with social medical service institutions (IMSS, SS, etc.) for assistance in cases that may arise.
16.Coordinates the health and safety committee and supports the emergency brigade.
17.Provides information to company personnel regarding first aid education, disease prevention and accident prevention.
18.Supports training by providing training and/or courses on various Health and Safety topics.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree
• 5-10 years of experience
• English
• Relevant knowledge of EHS Regulations, critical thinking, sampling methods, mathematical skills, and project management.
• Knowledge of hazardous materials and handling procedures.
• Skill in developing and administering training to large audiences.
• Skill in using a personal computer and a variety of software applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Skill in analyzing data and reporting on findings.
• Skill in communicating in a professional manner, both verbally and in writing.
• Established skill balancing the application of Safety best practices and trends to help the business grow along with delivery of traditional Safety functions.
• Ability to communicate with employees at all levels.
• Strong ability to think critically and innovatively
