Location: Centro Tular Primera Sección

We are seeking an experienced General Manager – Aviation Operations to lead our charter (air taxi) operations. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the full scope of flight operations, regulatory compliance, safety management, and fleet performance across Mexico and the United States. You will play a critical role in ensuring operational excellence, adherence to aviation regulations, and the efficient utilization of the fleet, while driving the overall performance and sustainability of the business.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES     Oversee and direct all flight operations, including aircraft scheduling, dispatch, maintenance coordination, and crew management.
Ensure full compliance with aviation regulations and maintain direct alignment with the Agencia Federal de Aviación Civil and applicable international standards.
Lead and enforce the Safety Management System (SMS), ensuring a safety-first culture across all operations.
Optimize fleet utilization, aircraft availability, and operational efficiency while minimizing downtime and cost per flight hour.
Lead operational decision-making in high-pressure or irregular situations (AOG events, delays, safety incidents).
Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure continuous airworthiness and adherence to maintenance programs.
Work closely with finance to manage the operational P&L, budgets, and cost controls across departments.
Monitor and analyze aircraft performance, utilization metrics, and operational KPIs.
Prepare and present reports on operational performance, safety metrics, and financial results to the executive team.
Stay up to date on aviation regulations, operational best practices, and market dynamics, ensuring timely internal alignment.
Represent the company in regulatory interactions, audits, and industry engagements as needed.
Lead, train, and mentor operations staff, including pilots, dispatch, and ground personnel.
REQUIRED

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

7+ years of experience in aviation, preferably in charter or air taxi operations
Proven experience in flight operations leadership roles (e.g., Director of Operations, Chief Pilot, or equivalent)
Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Aeronautical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field required.
Strong knowledge of aviation regulatory frameworks and audits
Experience managing Safety Management Systems (SMS)
Demonstrate diplomacy, ethics, and a proactive approach in all interactions and decision-making processes.
Foster a culture of teamwork and collaboration among team members and stakeholders.
Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and logistics partners.
Ability to generate and analyze statistical information related to logistics operations.
Effective oral and written communication in English and Spanish
Continuous and fast learning.
