Quality Assurance Manager

Position Summary:

Carbo Code is currently looking for a Quality Assurance Manager to support and supervise production teams to ensure activities are conducted in accordance with GMP/ GHPs and the associated risk assessments (HACCP) and to promote Quality and Food safety policies.

The position is in Carbo Code's Technology Transfer Center in Cantanhede, dedicated to the technology development, production, and commercialization of glycosphingolipids.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Coordination of continuous improvement projects
• Participation in Quality-by-Design and HACCP plans
• Coordination of investigation of failures and deviations
• Coordination of production related change controls
• Elaboration of procedures/ records related to compliance with GMP/ HACCP
• Training in quality topics
• Approval of Master Batch Records
• Review of batch records for product release
• Review of logbooks
• Elaboration of raw materials and intermediates' specifications
• Supplier and raw material approvals
• Follow up of external and internal quality audits/CAPA

Role Requirements:

• Degree in biotechnology, chemistry, chemical engineering or other science-related field.
• Experience in production in Fermentation/ Downstream/ Biocatalysis/ Chemistry in active pharmaceutical ingredients or food ingredients.
• Experience in Quality Assurance in GMP/ HACCP environment.
• English writing and verbal communication skills are essential.
