AASK (Aid to Adoption of Special Kids) is a private non-profit charity founded in 1988. Our main focus is finding relationships for children in Arizona's foster care system by connecting them with foster families, adoptive families, siblings, kin, and adult mentors. AASK Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) provides respite, habilitation, and attendant care for individuals with developmental and behavioral health disabilities. We recruit, train and qualify job candidates to provide the high-level of care and understanding these individuals deserve when parents/guardians need a break.• Provide a much-needed break for parents/guardians of individuals with developmental and behavioral health needs. • Attend to the physical, mental, and emotional needs ensuring their safety and well-being. • Interact and engage during activities while adhering to care plans. • Guide through identified goals and report progress. • Help develop language and motor skills, problem-solving, coping tools, community safety, personal care, daily living activities, and appropriate social interaction. |
