First.

- Initiate the selection process for the recruitment of 1 Senior Laboratory Technician under an employment contract and in accordance with the criteria, requirements and selection process

Three people are needed to carry out whole genome sequencing studies and variant confirmation.

Specific Requirements
  • Be a Spanish national or a national of any of the Member States of the European Union or of any country covered by international treaties signed by the European Union and ratified by Spain that apply to the free movement of workers. Foreign nationals of any nationality who are legally resident in Spain and who also have a valid work permit may also apply for this call.
    In the case of qualifications obtained abroad, their equivalence must be requested from the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport.
  • Be at least 18 years of age and not exceed the minimum retirement age.
  • Persons with a degree of disability equal to or greater than 33% may participate in this selection process on an equal footing with other applicants, and this circumstance must be indicated in the application.
  • Hold a Higher Technical FPII qualification in Clinical and Biomedical Laboratory or equivalent. The requirements and merits claimed by the applicant must be duly justified by providing the relevant documentation (employment history, contracts, qualifications, certificates, etc.) at the time of application.
  • Languages ENGLISH Level Good

    Type of contract:
    Temporary contract Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan.

    • Full-time: 35 hours
    • Remuneration: €1,588.08 gross per month, including the proportional part of two extraordinary payments.
    • Research Project: PMP
      22/00008. UNIQUE. Implementation of a Paediatric Network for Personalised Medicine in rare paediatric diseases. A Pilot Project.
    Eligibility criteria

    Curriculum assessment of merits and abilities (0-60 points)

    I.

    -WORK EXPERIENCE and/or KNOWLEDGE in the field: (Maximum 60 points)

    • Experience in whole genome sequencing: 0-45 points
    • Experience in digital PCR, capillary electrophoresis: 0-15 points

    Candidates with a certified disability of 33% or more will have their final score increased by 2 points

    Competency-based interview: (0-40 points). In this phase, candidates will present the information contained in their CV and supporting documentation, with particular emphasis on aspects such as: adaptability, proactivity, teamwork, analytical skills, planning, organisation and results‑oriented approach, as well as knowledge of the functioning of the IIS and the job to be performed.

    Selection process

    The selection process will consist of two phases:

  • Analysis and assessment of all applications received, classifying them based on how well the CV matches the established profile and meets the requirements, and assessment of the merits claimed.
  • Competency-based interview: candidates with the highest scores in Phase 1 will be invited to interview, provided that their score in that phase exceeds half plus one. The selection panel may propose that the call for applications be declared void if no candidate is suitable for the position.
  • Additional comments

    Once the application process has been completed, the following actions will be published on the IBSAL website:

    • Publication of the provisional decision on the list of persons admitted and not admitted according to minimum requirements, with a period of 5 working days for the submission of appeals.
    • Publication of the provisional decision on the assessment, with a period of 5 working days for the submission of appeals.
    • Publication of the final decision on the admission and exclusion of candidates, with the list of those admitted.
    • Publication of the final decision on the assessment and the minutes of the award of places.
