Global Transaction Banking (GTB) is a core growth engine for Santander, supporting
** large multinational corporates
** with advanced cash management, trade finance, export finance and agency solutions across international markets.

** Vice President – GTB Select
** to be based in
** Milan**, with primary responsibility for
** origination and development of new large corporate clients**.The role focuses exclusively on L
** arge Corporate clients**, supporting Santander’s growth strategy in Italy through the acquisition and development of complex, international GTB relationships.
** Key Responsibilities
**** New Client Origination
*** Proactively identify, originate, and onboard
** new large corporate clients (revenues  EUR 500M)**.
* Build and manage a strong origination pipeline through direct client engagement, strategic market analysis and internal referrals.
* Drive GTB wallet penetration from early-stage client discussions.

Proactively originate and foster cross-selling opportunities related to other Santander CIB products, including ability to originate Markets/ Risk Solutions business
** Client Coverage & Relationship Development
*** Act as a senior GTB point of contact for prospective large corporates.
* Develop and maintain relationships with CFOs, Treasurers and senior finance executives.
* Position Santander as a long-term strategic partner for transaction banking and structured trade solutions.
** GTB Solutions Structuring
*** Originate, structure and coordinate delivery of complex GTB solutions including:  + Cash management, payments and liquidity solutions  + Trade finance and working capital structures  + Export Finance and Agency Finance solutions, in coordination with specialist teams
* Identify, coordinate cross-selling opportunities and support end-to-end process for Markets/Risk Solutions business
* Work closely with product, risk and legal teams to tailor solutions aligned with client business models and international footprints.
** Internal Coordination & Execution
*** Lead credit and onboarding processes for new large corporate clients, ensuring adherence to internal policies and regulatory standards.
* Coordinate with CIB coverage teams, Risk, Compliance, Legal and Operations.
* Support execution and post-origination phases to ensure client satisfaction and sustainable revenues.
** Market & Business Development
*** Contribute to GTB Select commercial strategy in Italy, with specific focus on large corporates and multinational groups.
* Identify sector trends, export flows and cross-border opportunities relevant to Export and Agency Finance.
* Represent Santander in senior-level client meetings and selected market initiatives.
** WHAT YOU’LL BRING
**** Professional Experience**
* ** Minimum 8 years of experience
** in:  + Global Transaction Banking, Corporate Banking or Investment Banking coverage roles.
* Proven track record in
** origination of new large corporate clients
** and development of transaction banking revenues.
* Solid
** knowledge of the Italian corporate market
** and proven relationship with corporate clients.
* Solid experience working with complex, international corporate structures.
** Education
* ** Degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Engineering or equivalent.
* Postgraduate qualifications (MBA, Master in Finance) are considered a plus.
** Languages
* ** Italian and English: fluent (required)
* Spanish: a strong plus
* Knowledge of an additional language is advantageous.
** Technical & Professional Skills
*** Strong expertise in:  + Trade&Working Capital, Export Finance, Cash management, payments, liquidity management.
* Sound understanding of:  + Credit processes, risk assessment, KYC and onboarding requirements for large corporates.  + Financial Risk Management derivative products
* Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills and executive-level communication abilities.
* Ability to operate autonomously within a complex, matrix organization.
