Financial Accountant

Taylor Hopkinson is supporting the recruitment process on behalf of a fast-growing international company operating in the renewable energy sector. The organization develops, invests in, and manages clean energy infrastructure projects across multiple European markets, with a strong commitment to sustainability, innovation, and long-term value creation. As the business continues to expand, the Finance team is looking for a Financial accountant to support accounting operations and ensure compliance with Italian tax and financial regulations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES   Manage daily accounting transactions in accordance with Italian accounting standards and internal policies.
Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting activities.
Monitor and assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely reconciliation and issue resolution.
Prepare and coordinate indirect and direct tax compliance activities, including VAT returns, withholding tax obligations, and statutory filings.
Liaise with external accountants, tax consultants, and auditors to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
Provide support during tax inspections and statutory audits by gathering and organising the required documentation.
Assist with intercompany accounting activities and contribute to transfer pricing documentation where required.
Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure financial documentation is properly archived.
Monitor changes in tax legislation and support the implementation of regulatory updates.
Identify opportunities to streamline accounting procedures and improve operational efficiency.
Act as a reliable point of contact for finance-related queries from internal departments.
REQUIREMENTS   Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
Approximately 3-5 years of experience in accounting, tax, or corporate finance.
Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365.
Strong analytical and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
High level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential financial information.
Fluent English, both written and spoken.
