JOB SUMMARY:
To identify and correct malfunctioning jet, turboprop, and reciprocating multi-engine aircraft mechanical components and systems. Performs annual and progressive inspections as well as modification work on customer aircraft.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs diagnostic and mechanical duties on jet and turboprop aircraft models, diagnosing malfunctions, disassembling, repairing, replacing, reassembling, or adjusting aircraft systems to prepare aircraft for flight and delivery. Requires thorough knowledge of aircraft engines, systems, and components.
- Checks, corrects, or replaces complex aircraft assemblies, landing gear, air conditioning, pressurization, and optional equipment.
- Repairs or replaces engine components and accessories such as fuel control units, injection systems, pumps, starters, generators, and hydraulic/vacuum pumps.
- Follows aircraft maintenance manual procedures for annual and progressive inspections. Performs modifications on aircraft systems and structures.
- Maintains clear and accurate reports in logs, inspection reports, and parts identification documents.
Conducts functional checks, engine tests, instrument tests, and alignment. Performs preventive maintenance, rigging, and throttle synchronization. May observe aircraft operation during flight for troubleshooting.
Performs duties following the latest safety standards to ensure aircraft airworthiness and reliability.
Uses various tools and gauges, including tensiometers, micrometers, pressure and vacuum gauges, and hand tools, to repair and modify systems.
Must hold an EASA B2 license, preferably with Textron Aviation model type ratings endorsed.
Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments. Proficient in reading, writing, and understanding English.
