Exide Technologies' Energy Solutions division is developing and manufacturing stationary energy storage batteries, from backup power to large-scale storage systems (BESS and C&I). Exide's technology portfolio spans from multiple lead-acid over to lithium-ion technologies supporting the global energy transition and digitalization. Our storage systems are used in UPS, Telecom, Datacenters, Public Transport, in Front-of- and Behind-the-Meter applications and many more.

About the job:

For our fast-growing division Energy Solutions in Castanheira do Ribatejo, Portugal at the earliest possible date we are looking for a HR trainee to join Portuguese team.

The newcomer will integrate the HR team, reporting directly to the HR manager. Exide Portugal has more than 500 employees, including 2 plants (one batteries plant and one recycling);
Sales & Marketing offices and R&D team.

What will your daily responsibilities include in this role?

After a training period he/she will provide operational support to Human Resources activities in a daily basis such as:

  • Support Personnel Administration tasks;
  • Support Recruitment & Selection processes;
  • Participation and follow up Training Plan & Development activities;
  • Participation in Internal Communication Initiatives;
  • Follow-up HR KPIs and action plans;
  • Learn and execute other necessary tasks inside HR department according Exide guidelines and country's labor legislation. Responsibilities are not all inclusive and may change, be added to or deleted according HR needs.

What we ask for:

  • Degree in Human Resources Management, Social Psychology or equivalent
  • 1 or 2 years of experience such as previous internships in HR department would be high appreciated
  • High sense of organization and responsibility
  • Teamwork and proactivity
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Independent level in English language
  • IT skills
