Operations Supervisor (Process Assistant), Outbound - Day Shift

We’re seeking an experienced Process Assistant to join the team at our Fulfillment Center in Dandenong on a Sunday to Wednesday day shift.

• Support and work in other departments as required
• Help support daily management of department duties, including allocating labor, leading meetings, and assigning job duties
• Provide coverage for Area Managers
• Provide policy follow-up, attendance tracking (duties do not extend to discipline)
• Track and report ATS/labor hours
• Assist the floor as an associate resource, train associates, and verify SOP compliance
• Ensure successful area performance through tracking, reporting and feedback of associate performance
• Participate in Operational Excellence initiatives in some capacity
• Fully understand workflow and daily production goals
• Assist in keeping work area clean and organised
• Identify and address safety hazards within the work area
• Coach associates to work safely at all times
• Refer all job injuries immediately to area manager

• Previous experience leading teams
• Experience working within a similar field (manufacturing, distribution, warehousing, large retail)
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to coach, train and assist team members
• Availability to work 38+ hours per week, and overtime as required
• Experience working with computers and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)

• Leadership experience directly managing others
• Comfortable in lifting up to 16 kilos, standing/walking for up to 10-12 hours, and able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend and reach, all with or without reasonable accommodation
• Experience with performance metrics and lean process improvement
