ECS Scotland, Edinburgh:
Founded in 1995, ECS Scotland is a family run, British Council accredited English language training centre located in the heart of Edinburgh's New Town. Specialising in small group and 1-to-1 training to professional adults, ECS Scotland offers a variety of tailor made courses starting any Monday of the year.

We guarantee a maximum of 5 students per group in our General English courses. Our small groups ensure that every student has the opportunity to participate fully during every class. The main focus of our group courses is to improve your confidence when speaking English. We do not follow course books, classes are based around vocabulary topics and conversations, giving you the opportunity to practise speaking English.

Coffee breaks are taken together as a whole school every morning and afternoon, ECS Scotland provides tea and coffee for all students and teachers. This is another way to improve your English conversation skills in a comfortable setting.

Combination Courses combine 15 hours of General English in a small group with a maximum of 5 students and 5, 10 or 15 hours of 1-to-1 tuition, focusing on your specific language needs. Medical, Legal, Financial, Tourism, Military, Business, email writing topics are covered.  Please ask us for your specific topic area and we will create a course for you. Closed group courses are available on request.
Weekend Refresher courses give you the opportunity to practise your English communication skills in the morning and spend the afternoon exploring Edinburgh, either on your own or by joining activities arranged by the school.

ECS Scotland believes in offering a personal and quality English language training program to each client. To do this ECS Scotland guarantees a maximum of 5 students in each group tuition class.

Ms Jane McKinlay is the owner and Principal of the school, she personally oversees the academic program and actively supports her teachers in creating interesting and interactive lessons for students. Our small groups offer each student the opportunity to participate actively in each lesson.

The morning coffee break is an integral part of the day, offering students a safe and friendly atmosphere to practise speaking English. The school provides tea / coffee and biscuit to all students and teachers.

One afternoon excursion to place of cultural interest is included in the course, giving you a chance to visit places outside of Edinburgh and practise your English.
