Hello Kids Myogadani - International English Preschool, Bunkyo-ku:
Conveniently situated in the Bunkyo ward in central Tokyo, Hello Kids Myogadani is an English-immersion school providing a fun and comprehensive international preschool and kindergarten program for children between the ages of 1.5-6 years old. In addition, we offer afternoon & weekend classes for children between the ages of 3-10 years old. Our students range in age from 1.5 to 10 years old. We challenge, and more importantly inspire students within an internationally-recognized curriculum, which ensures that our students gain a solid knowledge of not only English, but also science, mathematics, geography, Japanese, and other international cultures, and so much more. We pride ourselves on our curriculum, class structure and dedicated teaching team.
English Immersion Programs for Children:
Preschool - ages 1.5 to 4
Schedule: 10 a.m. - 2.30 p.m.
This class provides a wonderful opportunity for your child to gain a basic understanding of the English language, as well as developing fine and gross motor skills, living skills, social skills and much more!
Using an immersion-style teaching technique, each child learns the topic of the day through different activities, songs, games, crafts and more - all centered on one theme. Within our nurturing environment, your child builds a confidence in using English that will stay with them throughout their entire life.
English Kindergarten - ages 4 to 6
Schedule: 10 a.m. - 2.30 p.m.
Our kindergarten curriculum has been created to take full advantage of an internationally-recognized set of standards, which ensure that each student can not only perform, but succeed in many types of situations and environments with confidence.
With a focus on total English immersion, our kindergarten students learn science, mathematics, history, social studies, leadership skills and basic through advanced English (one on one interaction, conversation, imagination use, problem solving) within our fun, interactive-based classroom environment!
Afternoon English Language Classes - ages 3 to 5
Schedule: 3 p.m. - 6 p.m.
These energetic and progressive English classes provide an opportunity to increase your child's proficiency in the four major areas of English language development: writing, reading, listening and speaking skills.
We teach our daily theme through park activities, craft activities, worksheets, presentation time, circle time and more - this really helps your child to develop a strong understanding of all the components of the English language.
Afternoon English Language Classes - ages 5 to 8
Schedule: 3 p.m. - 6 p.m.
These classes focus on the evolution of the English language. Teaching methods include student-to-student interaction, further problem solving exercises, special projects and show and tell. Students will improve their grammar, punctuation, paragraph building, sentence structure, and much more.
We keep our curriculum fresh, with new challenges and special assignments being given to students all the time to really maximize their potential and interest in English. We also teach science, mathematics, Japanese and Western history and culture, and our physical world.
Saturday English Language Classes - ages 3 to 5
Schedule: 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
This class offers a wonderful mix of English listening and speaking skills mixed in with imaginative reading time and fun writing challenges. We split each group of students by level which further helps them to enhance their English language skills, create closer friendships with their classmates, and really allows us to have a lot of fun along the way. Focusing on one theme at a time, our students take on team-leadership roles each Saturday which allows them to maintain a feeling of continual improvement with their peers.
Saturday English Language Classes - ages 6 to 10
Schedule: 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. and 12.30 p.m. - 3.30 p.m.
Our Saturday classes provide a great opportunity for elementary school students to maintain and further develop their writing, reading, listening and speaking skills on a technical as well as an abstract level.
Each class is kept fresh, with new concepts being introduced and older concepts being reviewed on a weekly basis, over a period of time each student develops a noticeable level of improvement. Classes are kept incredibly progressive, productive and challenging.
Private lessons are also available for students who require some extra help.
