CELT Athens:
Located in the heart of Greece's historic capital city, CELT Athens is an excellent place to start a career in TEFL as well as experiencing life in an exciting European city. We provide Cambridge-accredited CELTA and DELTA (Certificate / Diploma in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) courses to English-speaking students from around the world. Our CELTA course is available in-class, while the DELTA is available both on-site and online. We also offer our own Certificate in TEFL as well as a range of Short Add-on English Teacher courses.

English Teacher Training Courses:

Cambridge CELTA Course:
- Duration: 140 hours in-class
- Full-time 4 weeks / Part-time 12 weeks

The Cambridge CELTA (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) is the most widely taken English Language Teaching (ELT) qualification, and a must for an international career in TEFL.  

Our course is 140 hours and trainee groups are small (maximum of 8) for more support and personal attention. The Certificate is awarded by Cambridge ESOL. CELT Athens offers a 140 course with two types of attendance options:

Full-Time Course:
An intensive 4-week course leading to this well-known Cambridge qualification. Sessions are every day for four weeks and from Day 1, methodology sessions are immediately followed by teaching as the CELTA is a very practical course with hands-on classroom teaching experience.

Part-Time Course:
A part time course which is completed over 12 weeks with input sessions and Teaching Practice twice per week. This is a less intensive option allowing course participants more time although it should be understood that full commitment is necessary for them to be able to attend the course fully. 

Teaching Practice:
Teaching Practice Classes are organised at the centre and they are available throughout the programme. This means that the courses are moderated by Cambridge appointed Assessors and that the quality of tuition, support and administration is of a very high standard.CELT Athens organises free classes for these teaching practises. 

Certificate in TEFL Course:
- Duration: 100+ hours in class
- Full-time 4 weeks / Part-time 12 weeks

This is a very practical, hands on programme which will help you become a confident and always well-prepared teacher of English. The course covers younger and older learners and Teaching Practice includes teaching classes of younger pupils in foreign language centres in Athens. Certification for this course is awarded by CELT Athens.

The DELTA (Diploma in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) course leads to a professional qualification at post-graduate level, and is one of the most sought after and well-respected international teaching qualifications. The CELT course is ideal for experienced and qualified teachers wishing to enhance their career opportunities as Senior Teachers, ESP Instructors, Level Coordinators or Directors of Studies. 

This course is approved by and moderated by Cambridge ESOL and includes a final written examination as well as observed teaching and a number of background assignments. The Diplomas are awarded by Cambridge ESOL.The course is organised around three modules, each of which is assessed separately. 

Module 1:
- Understanding Language, Methodology & Resources for Teaching

Module 2:
- Developing Professional Practice

Module 3:
- Option 1: Extending Practice and ELT Specialism
- Option 2: English Language Teaching Management (ELTM) 

Students can also take modules as individual, 8-week part-time courses

- 8 weeks part-time. Via Moodle with weekly tutorials on Adobe or WiziQ

Cambridge DELTA Module 3: Certificate in Teaching Learners Online:
- 8 weeks part-time. Through distance/blended learning via Moodle (DL)

Short Add-on Courses:
