Learn Spanish in Costa Rica while experiencing the adventure of a lifetime in a tropical paradise! La Escuela Del Sol is a quality Spanish language school in the beautiful village of Montezuma on the eastern tip of the Nicoya Peninsula. We provide Spanish immersion programs to students from around the world. Choose to study Spanish at college level for 1-4 weeks, and we even offer college credit for our Spanish curriculum. Our Spanish language classes can be combined with optional activities and classes, including scuba diving, surfing, yoga and poi.

Spanish Immersion Program:
Course Duration: 1-4 weeks
You will receive 2 hours of classroom instruction and 2 hours of applied learning each day (Monday-Friday). Applied learning is where you can put your knowledge to use and reinforce what you’ve already learned. This might mean a scavenger hunt, a board game or a walk on the beach with your instructor. Many times, during your afternoon section, you will have the opportunity to use your newfound language skills with Montezuma locals in the center of town with a fun and hands on experience.

We maximize learning by only accepting new students every two weeks. In a 3 or 4 week program, you may have to integrate with new students once, if at all. In a 1 or 2 week program, the students you start with are your classmates from beginning to end. Inhibitions drop quickly and Spanish conversation excels!

Spanish Program Structure:

1 Week Spanish Program:
- 2 hours of classroom instruction each day
- 2 hours of applied learning each day (in class or outside)
- Books and instructional materials
- Guided nighttime, giant turtle, egg laying tour (July – October; full and new moons)
- 6 nights accommodation at La Escuela Del Sol

2 Week Spanish Program:
Features of 1 Week Program plus:
- 1 more week's accommodation (13 nights total)
- Optional zip line canopy tour or guided horseback riding to private waterfalls (weekends only)

3 Week Spanish Program:
Includes all features of 2 Week Program plus:
- 1 more week's accommodation (20 nights total)
- Optional class on third Friday to allow for extended travel

4 Week Spanish Program:
Includes all features of 3 Week Program plus:
- 1 more week's accommodation (27 nights total)
- 4th week graduation bonfire
