The Embassy provides these consular services:
  • Issuance of visas;
  • State registration of civil status (birth registration, marriage registration, establishment of paternity registration, name, father's name and last name change registration, death registration;
  • Consular registration of permanent or temporary residence in the Kingdom of the Netherlands;
  • Issuance of passports;
  • Dealing with citizenship matters.
Nationals of foreign countries wishing to travel to Nagorno-Karabakh and other occupied regions of the Republic of Azerbaijan should be reminded that due to continuing occupation by the armed forces of the Republic of Armenia, these areas are temporarily out of control of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The Ministry would like to remind that those who will travel to the occupied territories without prior permission of the Republic of Azerbaijan will be denied the entry to the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Documents required when applying for a tourist visa to enter Azerbaijan:
  • Properly filled out application form, signed by the applicant;
  • 2 colored photos (3,5 cm x 4,5 cm, white background);
  • Original of passport or document confirming the identity of the stateless person (travel document). Visa will not be issued unless the passport of foreigner or document confirming the identity of the stateless persons is at least 3 (three) months valid;
  • Document confirming hotel reservation or tourist voucher;
  • Copy of the flight ticket reservation;
  • Receipt about the payment of the visa fee. Visa fee for single entry and double entry visa for the citizens of the Kingdom of the Netherlands is 60 Euros. Visa fee for stateless persons (including for the holders of Dutch travel documents - Reisdocuments) is 40 Euros for single entry visa and 80 Euros for double entry visa. Visa fee should be transferred to the bank account of the Embassy ABN-AMRO 40.34.91.843 and receipt of the payment must be submitted together with the above mentioned documents.
The visa procedure takes up to fifteen days after all necessary documents have been submitted.

Convention of 5 October 1961 Abolishing the Requirement of Legalization for Foreign Public Documents is applicable between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Kingdom of The Netherlands as of August 10, 2010. According to the said Convention, Dutch public documents which have been apostilised in the Netherlands will be valid in the Republic of Azerbaijan without legalization by the Embassy of Azerbaijan in the Netherlands.
