If Belgian passport is lost/stolen abroad:

  1. Call Doc-Stop to cancel your passport and protect yourself against any fraudulent use of your identity: +32 2 518 2123.
  2. Notify the local police about the loss/theft immediately. Ask for a statement confirming the loss/theft.
  3. If you need a passport to return to Belgium, contact the Belgian embassy or consulate in the country you are visiting. If there is none, contact the embassy or consulate of another EU country.
  4. If you have been unable to notify the local police about the loss/theft while you were abroad, do so with your police station as soon as you return to Belgium.

Turkish nationals need visas to visit Belgium. Tourist visa requirements:

  • Valid Passport. The passport should still be valid 3 months further after the expiry of the visa; photocopy of all pages of the passport contain stamps and visas). Passport must have sufficient space for a visa to be inserted, at least two empty pages are required.
  • Fully completed and signed visa application forms.
  • Signed declaration on desired language as per visa application submission location.
  • One extra recent photograph (not older than 6 months) 35x45 in colour, preferably biometric type with white background. Please write your name and last name on the back of all your photographs and submit with your application. Total 2 photos.
  • Confirmation of hotel reservation in Belgium indicating period of stay or confirmation of organized tour with indication of cities and places to be visited.
  • A detailed planning of the tourist trip.
  • Professional supporting documentation.
  • Financial supporting documents.
  • Foreign nationals permanently residing in Turkey will need to provide a Turkish residence permit. Residence permit must be valid for at least further after the expiry of the visa (photocopy).
  • Valid travel health insurance covering any costs of repatriation for medical reasons, emergency medical care and/or emergency hospital care or death during your stay/s on the Schengen territory. This insurance must be valid for the whole of this territory and the whole of the stay. The minimum coverage is 30,000 EUR or equivalent amount in Turkish Liras.
  • Air ticket reservation.
  • Visa fee and service fee (to be paid in cash in Turkish Liras).

All documents should be paid in Turkish Liras. The Embassy does not accept Euros. 

The Embassy is closed on public holidays.
