The Embassy is a permanent mission to the Kingdom of Denmark and to the Republic of Lithuania.
Consular services provided by the Embassy:
- Assistance to Brazilian citizens abroad in cases of emergency;
- Issuance of visas;
- Notarial services;
- Issues civil status certificates;
- Assistance in case of detention, imprisonment or death of a Brazilian citizen;
- Issuance of passports;
- Dealing with military service matters;
- Allowing Brazilian citizens abroad to participate in electoral events;
- Dealing with Brazilian citizenship matters;
- Legalization of documents.
In case of loss, theft or destruction of a Brazilian passport, it should be immediately reported to the Brazilian authority that issued the passport or the nearest Brazilian Embassy or Consulate. It is also recommended to keep a photocopy of a passport which helps when applying for a new passport.
Danish and Lithuanian citizens do not need a tourist visa to Brazil for stays of maximum 90 days.
Passports must be valid for at least six months from the date of arrival in Brazil and have at least 4 unused pages for stamps.
Pay the fees by bank transfer or account deposit as instructed by the Consular Section. Payments will only be accepted in exact amount in Danish kroner. Banks may charge extra fees on transfers and account deposits, especially for transfers from abroad.
The Embassy is closed on public holidays.
