The Embassy of Brazil in Bucharest provides general paperwork services and assistance to Brazilian nationals; promotes the Brazilian culture; gathers political and commercial intelligence and serves as a channel with local authorities.

Services provided by the Consular Section of the Embassy:

• Issuance of passports;
• Issuances of visas;
• Authentication of documents;
• Legalization of documents;
• Assistance to Brazilian nationals abroad.

Minimum processing time for any document is 3 working days.

Citizens of foreign countries traveling to Brazil on tourism are normally required to obtain a visa prior to entering Brazil. This requirement complies with reciprocity toward countries that demand Brazilian citizens to hold a visa in order to enter into their territories.

Citizens of Portugal do not require a tourist visa to visit Brazil for stays not exceeding 90 days.
