Main mission of the Consular Section of the Embassy of Brazil in Moscow is to provide consular assistance to Brazilian nationals who are in Russia and Uzbekistan, respecting the norms of laws and the sovereignty of local institutions.

Consular services provided by the Embassy:

  • Issuance of visas;
  • Issuance of passports;
  • Legalization of documents;
  • Issuance of birth, marriage, death certificates;
  • Assistance in cases of emergency.

In case of loss, theft or destruction of a Brazilian passport, it should be immediately reported to the Brazilian authority that issued the passport or the nearest Brazilian Embassy or Consulate. It is also recommended to keep a photocopy of a passport which helps when applying for a new passport.

Russian citizens traveling as tourists to Brazil do not need a visa and can stay up to 90 days for each period of 180 days.

In the case the foreign nationality requires a Tourist Visa (VITUR), it is necessary to produce the following documents and apply directly in this Consular Sector:

  • Printed and signed visa form, attached with one 3x4 cm color photography.
  • Proof of financial conditions as international tourist, such as copy of bank statements, credit card statements or other relevant documents;
  • Return flight ticket, with date of landing and departing from Brazil;
  • Proof of a place to stay, such as hotel reservation; or
  • In the case of being invited by a Brazilian citizen or foreigner with RNE, the host is expected to provide a notarized declaration stating the support for all expenses and accommodation of his/her guests. This Declaration needs to be presented in original version only at the immigration control when arriving in Brazil;
  • Valid passport, with more than 6 months to the expiring date.

The Tourist Visa processing time is 10 days.

The Embassy is closed on public holidays.
