Consular services provided by the Embassy:

In case of loss, theft or destruction of a Brazilian passport, it should be immediately reported to the Brazilian authority that issued the passport or the nearest Brazilian Embassy or Consulate. It is also recommended to keep a photocopy of a passport which helps when applying for a new passport.

For the purposes of business and tourism, Swiss citizens do not require visas to Brazil for stays of up to 90 days, which may be extended in Brazil for over 90 days, up to a maximum of 180 days per year. Swiss citizens cannot work in Brazil during that period. It is necessary to have Swiss passport with at least 6 months validity and an air round-trip ticket.
