Consular services provided by the Embassy:

• Assistance to Brazilian citizens abroad in cases of emergency;
• Issuance of visas;
• Notarial services;
• Issues civil status certificates;
• Assistance in case of detention, imprisonment or death of a Brazilian citizen;
• Issuance of passports;
• Dealing with military service matters;
• Allowing Brazilian citizens abroad to participate in electoral events;
• Dealing with Brazilian citizenship matters;
• Legalization of documents.

In case of loss, theft or destruction of a Brazilian passport, it should be immediately reported to the Brazilian authority that issued the passport or the nearest Brazilian Embassy or Consulate. It is also recommended to keep a photocopy of a passport which helps when applying for a new passport.

Turkish citizens need visas to visit Brazil. Tourist visa requirements are:

• Passport valid for at least another 6 months from the date of entry in Brazil and must have at least 2 blank pages.
• Printed receipt page (with barcode) of the online visa application form, filled and signed.
• Photos.
• Copy of the round trip ticket reservation.
• Copy of the hotel reservation in Brazil.
• Copy of the bank account balance in the last 3 months.
• Copy of an international credit card and balance statement (if an applicant has one).
• Visa application payment receipt.

The Embassy is closed on public holidays.
