All applications or documents related to the application of Visas, Passports, Laissez-passer etc. must be deposited between 09:30 and 12:00 noon. Withdrawal or the collection of Visas, Passports or Laissez-passer can only be done from 14:30 - 15:30 daily. Any applications for visas, passport or laissez passer deposited after 12:00 noon will be forwarded, registered and only processed the following day.

The Embassy provides these consular services:
  • Issues visas;
  • Issues passports;
  • Registers Cameroonian citizens abroad and issues Consular Cards;
  • Issues affidavits of civil status;
  • Issues birth and marriage certificates;
  • Legalizes Cameroonian documents/certificates;
  • Issues laissez-passer (a travel document to citizens who hold a passport not valid in Cameroon and/or issued by a Government not recognized by the Cameroon Government);
  • Issues power of attorney legal documents.
A valid visa is required for travel to Cameroon from the Netherlands. Visa fees are paid only by cash.

Requirements for obtaining a visa for tourist, family and other visits (excluding diplomatic or courtesy and business purposes):
  • National passport valid for at least 6 months;
  • One fully filled application form and one passport size photograph;
  • Travel booking declaration from a travel agency or e-ticket;
  • Photocopy of vaccination against yellow fewer;
  • For students - attestation from a Dutch University and an invitation/admission letter from University in Cameroon;
  • Proof of income or financial support (a certificate of lodging, salary statement, a credit card or a recent bank statement with enough saldo on it);
  • If a person travels by car - "carnet de passages en douane" (a customs document that allows travelers to to temporarily import their motor vehicles into a country without having to leave a cash deposit at the border) and international insurance valid in Cameroon.
If a Cameroonian citizen loses his/her passport, when applying for a new passport he/she should provide an attestation of loss issued by the Dutch police duly authenticated (signed) by the services of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands along with other documents.

The Embassy is closed on weekends and Cameroonian and Dutch holidays.
