Services provided by the Consular Section of the Embassy:

  • Assistance to Chinese citizens abroad in cases of emergency.
  • Power of attorney;
  • Issuance of passports;
  • Issuance of visas;
  • Notarial services.

Danish citizens need a tourist visa to visit China for tourism purposes. Ordinary passport holders in Denmark who wish to apply for Chinese visa are kindly advised to make application through the Chinese Visa Application Service Center Copenhagen.

Documents required:

  • Passport.
  • Visa application form and photo.
  • Proof of legal status (applicable for those not applying for the visa in their country of citizenship).
  • Photocopy of previous Chinese passports or previous Chinese visas.
  • Documents showing the itinerary including air ticket booking record (round trip) and proof of a hotel reservation, etc. or an Invitation Letter for Tourist issued by a relevant unit or individual in China.

As from July 5, 2012, visa processing time will be 4 working days for the passport holders of the following countries: Denmark, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Austria, Czech, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and France.

If Embassy visitors collect their passport or other document at the Embassy, they must pay with credit / debit cards or cheque (Danish Kroners).
