The Embassy of the Republic of Costa Rica in the Hague provides the following services:

• Authenticates/legalizes documents (birth certificates, certificates of divorce, certificates of single status, criminal records, death certificates, emmision statements, employment certificates, health certificates, marriage certificates, powers of attorney, proof of income, trademark registries, certificates of free sale);
• Issues, renews passports and identity cards;
• Issues visas.

Citizens holding valid passports of Netherlands are permitted to stay in Costa Rica for 90 days without a visa. Depending on their citizenship, nationals of other countries may or may not need a visa to enter Costa Rica.

There is no restriction on the amount of money that people can bring to Costa Rica, but they have to declare it if the amount exceeds 10,000 US Dollars.
