Cuban Embassy ensures all co-nationals protection against the violation of their fundamental rights and the limitation or privation of their personal freedom. They also ensure emergency assistance; help in locating family members, inheritance procedures initiated abroad and for the repatriation of mortal remains. The consular services include:

Every Cuban citizen requesting consular services (with the exception of Travel Permit Abroad Extensions for 11 months) must be registered. Applications may be made in person at the Consulate or by mail. A completely filled out form must be presented along with a photocopy of the Passport, two photographs and a stamped self-addressed envelope so that the Consular Registration Card, which has to be presented when requesting any Consular Service, can be mailed. The Consular Fee for this service must be paid.
NOTE: If the application is being made by mail or via a third party, an extra Consular fee will be charged for the pertinent Consular service. All payments must be made in cash or by a bank certified cheque. Cash sent by mail will be refused and returned at the risk of the applicant.
In the case of a lost Passport, besides complying with the requirements from sub-article 2 to sub-article 5, a police report for lost property must be presented along with a photocopy of the lost Passport: if there is no photocopy, a Birth Certificate must be presented or other certificate stating the Cuban citizenship. In the procedures are followed by mail, a bank-certified cheque must be sent, accompanied by a self-addressed envelope bearing enough postage for the documents to be returned to the applicant by Certified Mail. A new Passport will not be delivered if the expired Passport has not been sent. Please do not mail cash.
The pertinent Consular fee must be paid for the service by cheque or in cash: if the application is being made by mail, sufficient postage must be provided for the return of the document.
