Following Cyprus's accession to the Union in May 2004, the Embassy's primary mission is to continuously upgrade and broaden bilateral relations with the two countries of its accreditation, Denmark and Iceland, to keep their respective Governments abreast as regards efforts to resolve the Cyprus question and to provide consular services and support to the public in general and, in particular, to Cypriot expats and visitors who find themselves in the area.

The Embassy's Consular Section offers a wide range of consular services to the public, as well as consular support and assistance specifically to Cypriots based in Denmark or Iceland.

Consular services:

• Certification of authenticity of signature;
• Certification of a document as a true copy;
• Legalization of signature/seal on a document;
• Issuing of a passport and identity card;
• Issuing of a temporary travel document;
• Registering a child as a citizen of the Republic of Cyprus (issuing of a consular birth certificate);
• Financial assistance;
• Issuing of visas.

Nationals of EU member States (including Denmark), on the basis of a valid national passport or ID document (bearing photo), do not need visas to enter Cyprus.

The Embassy is closed on public holidays.
