The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Tirana serves as the visa office with jurisdiction for Albania. It is possible to apply for the short term (Schengen) visa for nationals of third countries who are residing Albania and hold a residence title. Citizens of Albania, who possess biometric passports, may (from December 2010) travel to the Schengen area for up to 90 days without a visa. At the Embassy one can also apply for long-term visas and residence permits in the Czech Republic.
The citizens of Czech Republic can also contact the Embassy regarding travel documents such as Travel Card that are issued in the event of loss, theft or expiry of the passport. Travel card is issued for a period necessary to return to the Czech Republic. To issue this card requires two photographs size 35x45mm. At the Consular Sections the Czech citizens may also apply for a new passport; however it takes a period of 120 day to process the application.
