Embassy of the Czech Republic in Brussels works towards the foreign diplomacy goals of the Czech Republic in the Kingdom of Belgium. It promotes the interests of the Czech Republic mainly in the field of bilateral relations, trade and investment performance and commercial diplomacy. The embassy also works in the field of national security, science and innovation, education and culture. Additionally, the embassy and its consulate work on delivering a high quality consular assistance service to Czech nationals.
Consular services provided by the Embassy:
- Issues passports, driving licenses;
- Deals with citizenship matters;
- Issues birth, marriage certificates;
- Allows Czech citizens to participate in national elections;
- Provides the translation of documents;
- Issues visas to foreigners;
- Assists Czech citizens in cases of emergency.
Please note that the Embassy itself is not providing translation and interpretation services.
In case of lost or stolen passport of the Czech Republic or any identification document, it should be immediately reported to the municipal office which issued the lost/stolen document or to the Embassy. A police report must also be obtained.
Citizens of Belgium and Luxembourg do not need visas to visit the Czech Republic.
The Embassy of the Czech Republic (including the Consular Section) is closed for public during the Czech Public Holidays.
