The Embassy of the Czech Republic in New Delhi has diplomatic and consular jurisdiction for the following countries in South Asia:
India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal and Sri Lanka.

Consular services provided by the Embassy:

• Issues passports, driving licenses;
• Deals with citizenship matters;
• Issues birth, marriage certificates;
• Allows Czech citizens to participate in national elections;
• Provides the translation of documents;
• Issues visas to foreigners;
• Assists Czech citizens in cases of emergency.

In case of lost or stolen passport of the Czech Republic or any identification document, it should be immediately reported to the municipal office which issued the lost/stolen document or to the Embassy. A police report must also be obtained.

Citizens of India need visas to visit the Czech Republic. Visa requirements:

• Proof of means of transport;
• Proof of lodging;
• Proof of financial means;
• Certificate of the travel agency confirming the booking of an organised trip or any other appropriate document indicating the travel plan’
• Marriage certificate, if applicant is married and cannot provide evidence of marital status in the passport; copy of  ration card, if applicable

The Embassy is closed on public holidays.
