The Czech Embassy in Vilnius:

  • Conducts a political dialogue, including cooperation on EU and NATO issues;
  • Develops the intensive bilateral relations between the Czech Republic and Lithuania;
  • Deepens economic cooperation and encourages the development of trade exchange;
  • Promotes the Czech Republic.
  • Encourages the development and establishment of projects for cooperation between Czech and Lithuanian towns and regions;
  • Provides consular services to Czech nationals;
  • Cooperates with Belarusian non-governmental and other organizations operating in exile in Lithuania.

The Embassy issues emergency travel documents and biometric passports for Czech citizens:

  • In case the passport is lost or stolen, an emergency travel document can be issued. The process is much easier, if there is another Czech citizen traveling with you, who has a valid passport and can prove your identity.
  • Consular Section can issue a passport in case of marriage, name change and expiration of current passport. To find out what documents are needed, contact the Czech Embassy or Consulate.
  • Since 1 April 2009 it is possible to apply for passport with biometric data including fingerprint data in the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Vilnius.

In order to register for submission of the visa application, the foreigner needs to possess an e-mail address. The registration can be done by the applicant himself/herself, but also by the inviting party or by any other person. Registration is free of charge. Submitting a registration does not mean that the visa has been issued. The foreigners applying for transfer of the (issued) visa sticker into a new travel documents and the family members of the EU citizens can submit their application without the registration.

Documents are issued in the working hours of the Embassy and are charged according to Law No. 634/2004 Coll., on administrative fees.
