The Embassy of the Czech Republic is accredited to the Kingdom of Thailand, Kingdom of Cambodia and Lao People's Democratic Republic.

Consular services provided by the Embassy:

  • Issues passports, driving licenses;
  • Deals with citizenship matters;
  • Issues birth, marriage certificates;
  • Allows Czech citizens to participate in national elections;
  • Provides the translation of documents;
  • Assists Czech citizens in cases of emergency.

In case of lost or stolen passport of the Czech Republic or any identification document, it should be immediately reported to the municipal office which issued the lost/stolen document or to the Embassy. A police report must also be obtained.

List of supporting documents to be submitted by Thai applicants for short stay visas:

  • Passport (validity at least 6 months after expected return) + copy of data page of the passport;
  • Proof of travel history ( copies of previous Schengen Visa, return stamps and Visa-applied stamps, including Schengen Visa and the stamps in previous passport ) if relevant;
  • Copy of name change certificate, if relevant;
  • 1 photo;
  • Filled-out and signed Schengen Visa application form (the form has to be filled out truthfully, including information about previous stays in Schengen area; this includes visas issued in previous passports);
  • Hotel reservation or other proof of accommodation for the duration of the entire stay;
  • Proof of a round-trip airplane reservation;
  • An itinerary of the planned trip if several countries are visited;
  • Proof of sufficient means of subsistence for the intended entire journey and the duration of stay such as bank statements covering the last three months, including bank account movements of the applicant or the person covering the cost of the trip. The presented bank statements shall not be older than 7 days before the date of application.
  • Travel medical insurance for the intended period of stay in the Schengen area.

Visa as well as Consular Section is closed during Czech Public Holidays; Visa Section is also closed during Thai Official Holidays.
