The Embassy of Denmark in Tirana will assist all Danish nationals and foreigners with a permanent address in Denmark.

Consular services include issuing Danish passports, driving licenses, visas for Denmark, legalisations, and assistance in connection with illness and death, money transfers, imprisonment, child abduction cases and other standard issues. As a general rule a fee is applicable to most services, with the exceptions of child abduction cases, cases of imprisonment and in the instance of a serious crime committed against a Danish national.

Please note that advice and recommendations are given with the usual proviso for errors and omissions and that the Embassy is not responsible for any damages or loss as a result of the information given on this home page.

The visa fee is 4.500 Albanian lek and should be paid in advance at the bank account of the Embassy at the Intesa Sanpaolo Bank Albania.

When applying for a visa, applicants should present the original receipt from the bank at the visa section together with the application. Visas are issued free of charge to: Spouses and family members of EU/EEA/Danish nationals related in direct line of ascent (parents) or descent (children under 21) living in the same household and supported by the EU/EEA/Danish national. Applicants are requested to submit basic documentation in order to apply for a Schengen visa to Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Iceland or Norway.
