The Embassy of Finland in Lisbon, Portugal also represents the interests of Finland in Cape Verde.

Consular services provided by the Embassy are related to the following matters:

• Civil status documents;
• Nationality;
• Military service;
• Assistance in case of emergencies;
• Finnish elections;

In case of lost, stolen or damaged passport abroad, Finnish nationals may apply for a temporary passport at the Finnish diplomatic mission to return to Finland or continue their journey. However, temporary passport is valid only up to one year. When applying for a temporary passport, a police notification about the lost passport must be presented.

Since both Finland and Portugal are members of the European Union, citizens of these countries do not require entry visas. Payments must be made by bank transfer. ATM/credit cards are not accepted.
