The Embassy of Finland in Moscow provides a range of services to Finnish and foreign nationals permanently residing in Finland:
- Passports;
- Assistance with matters pertaining to Finnish authorities such as citizenship, military service, and population register;
- Aid to citizens in distress;
- Administration of voting in Romania for Finnish national elections;
- Visas;
- Residence and work permits;
- Notary services;
- Information on Finland and Finnish public services.
If Finnish citizen's passport is lost, stolen or damaged while abroad, he/she can get an emergency passport to return home or to continue his/her travel.
Russian citizens require a visa to travel to Finland. To apply for a visa they need the following:
- The visa application form completed and signed.
- One photograph.
- A passport.
- Travel insurance covering EUR 30.000.
- Supporting documents (for example, tickets, confirmation of hotel reservation, private invitation letter, official invitation).
- Parental consent is required for minors.
The processing fee must be paid in cash upon application. Some missions accept bank transfers.
Visa applicants must submit their visa application at a mission of Finland or a visa centre no later than 15 days before travel. The application can be submitted at the earliest three months before the intended visit.
All fees for consular services must be paid in rubles.
