Consular services provided by the Embassy:

• Assistance in cases of emergency;
• Issuance of passports;
• Renewing of national identity cards;
• Registration of French citizens abroad;
• Allowing French citizens abroad to participate in electoral events;
• Issuance of visas;
• Issuance of marital status documents.

In case of lost or stolen passport abroad, French citizens must report it to the local police authorities and contact nearest French diplomatic mission.

All foreign nationals wanting to come to France must be able to submit statutory documentary evidence at the border for the reasons for their stay, their means of support and accommodation arrangements. As a rule, unless they are exempt, foreign nationals are required to have a visa.

Citizens of Romania are exempt from visa requirement to visit France for stays of up to 90 days.

The Embassy is closed on public holidays.
