Consular services provided by the Embassy:

• Issues passports and travel documents;
• Authenticates, legalizes documents;
• Issues visas;
• Registers Ghanaian;
• Deals with matters related to Ghanaian citizenship.

If Ghanaian passport is lost/stolen, it should be reported to the local police station and a police report should be obtained to replace the lost/stolen passport.

Citizens of some countries are exempted from obtaining entry visas to Ghana, however Dutch citizens are required to obtain a visa to enter Ghana.

All payments in respect of consular services must be made by cash. Normal visa application takes four (4) working days. An emergency visa which attracts double the normal fee may be processed in the same day. Visa fees are paid in Euros.

Consular section is closed to the public on Wednesdays and national holidays in Netherlands and Ghana.
