For an application of a passport to be accepted, an identity card (issued since 1996) must be submitted. In the absence of an ID card, the original birth certificate along with another document that has a photograph (driver's licence, social insurance card, membership card INJUPEMP, academic or expired passport which is not altered or damaged) must be submitted. All these documents must be originals.

Citiens of the Netherlands do not require a tourist visa to enter Honduras for a stay of up to 90 days.

All consular fees must be paid in US dollars.
