The Embassy of India in Brussels serves residents of Belgium and Luxembourg.

Consular services provided:

  • Visas;
  • Passports;
  • Certificates/affidavits/attestations;
  • OCI services;
  • PIO card;
  • Registration for NRIs/OCIs/PIOs

Prior appointment for submission of documents is not required. No applications will be received after 1130 hrs, except in case of emergencies such as loss of Indian passport.

Checklist for a new passport in lieu of a lost/damaged passport:

  1. Passport application form;
  2. 7 passport size photographs;
  3. Police report about the loss of passport;
  4. A statement indicating circumstances of loss/damage of passport;
  5. Photocopy of the lost/damaged passport, including photocopy of endorsements, if any, done by Indian passport issuing authorities;
  6. If available, photocopy of the valid visa/residential proof in Belgium/Luxembourg;
  7. Any photo identity proof (if sought by the embassy);
  8. Paid fees.

Normally visitors to Belgium / Luxembourg would be issued a short validity passport within one or two days. For residents of Belgium / Luxembourg, a passport is issued in three or four weeks’ time.

e-Tourist Visa (eTV) is available for citizens of Belgium and Luxembourg. This facility is available to Foreigners whose sole objective of visiting India is recreation, sight- seeing, short duration medical treatment, casual business visit, casual visit to meet friends or relatives etc. and not valid for any other purpose/activities. This will allow entry into India within 30 days from the date of approval of eTV and will be Valid for 30 days stay in India from the date of arrival in India.  The eTV cannot be obtained more than twice in a calendar year.

Prescribed fee is accepted in Cash, Maestro Debit card and Visa and Master Card Credit cards at the counter of the Embassy of India, Brussels. Personal cheques are not accepted.

The Embassy of India, Brussels does not process any applications for consular services received by post. Those who have sent such applications inadvertently can retrieve their envelopes, in person, from the Embassy.
