Applications for consular services can be submitted from 9.00 to 12.00 on all working days. All applicants for consular services are required to submit their passport. Please also bring good quality copies of your passport: the first two pages (passport details), last two pages (parents/spouse names and address information) and any endorsements.

Applications can also be sent by registered post but must be accompanied by a stamped, self-addressed registered envelope (7,30€). Fees for consular services are accepted only through bank transfer. In the case of any attestations, please do not make the payment beforehand. You will be informed of the fee after all your documents have been checked by the Embassy.

Applications for Passport services are received at the Consular Section of the Embassy from 9.00 to 12.00 on all working days. Passports, after completion of the service requested, are delivered from 15.00 to 16.30 hours on the date indicated. Applications can also be sent by post but must be accompanied by a stamped (for registered post), self-addressed envelope.

NOTE: Fees for passport services are accepted only through bank transfer.

A new passport can be issued on the expiry, or up to one year before expiry, of any passport, which had an initial validity of 10 years. To apply for a new passport you need to submit the following:

  • duly filled-out application form with four signatures (one on the first page, three on the last page)
  • three colour photos
  • original passport
  • copies of your current passport/residence permit
  • fee of 60€ for a regular, 36-page passport or fee of 75€ for a jumbo-size, 60-page passport, to be paid via bank transfer only

Registration of children eligible for Indian nationality
For a child born in Finland to be registered as an Indian citizen the application must be made within three months of the child’s birth on the prescribed form. At least one of the child’s parents must be an Indian citizen at the time of applying. Along with the application please enclose the passports of both parents and a full-version birth certificate of the child.

Fee payment - the requisite consular fee for each service must be deposited to the Embassy’s bank account. The Embassy no longer accepts cash payments. With attestations, please do not make the payment beforehand.

OCI Card/Overseas Citizenship of India
The OCI Registration fee is normally required to be deposited in cash at the Embassy counter. In the case of applications being sent by post the fee can also be deposited in the Nordea bank account of the Embassy (account number: FI96 2066 1800 0174 23, BIC: NDEAFIHH) by quoting the reference number 1070. In such cases, applicants are requested to attach the original bank advice along with a copy thereof to the application. Name(s) of applicant(s) and service required must be indicated in the bank advice.
