Tourist Visa on Arrival (TVOA) enabled with Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) enables Norwegian visitors to apply for an Indian Visa from their home country online without visiting the Indian mission and also pay the visa fee online. Once approved, the applicant receives an email authorising him/her to travel to Indian and he/she can travel with a print out of this authorization. On arrival, the visitor has to present the authorisation to the immigration authorities who would then stamp the entry into the country.

All consular fees must be paid in NOK. The consul fee, as required, should be deposited either by bank cheque issued in favour of “Embassy of India, Oslo” account or deposited in cash at the reception counter in the Embassy.

Fee once received is non-refundable even if the visa application is withdrawn, visa is not granted, or if visa issued is of shorter duration of period than applied for or otherwise issued or returned at a time or on terms and conditions that may vary from those sought by the applicant.

The Embassy is closed on Indian and Norwegian public holidays.
