Consular services provided by the Embassy:

  • Issuance of visas;
  • Issuance of passports;
  • Issuance of Overseas Citizenship of India cards (OCI);
  • Registration of Indian citizens abroad;
  • Attestation of documents and power of attorney;
  • Issuance of police clearance certificates;
  • Issuance of civil status certificates;
  • Indian citizenship matters.

In case of lost or damaged Indian passport, it should be immediately reported to the local police. A police notification and a photocopy of lost passport will be needed when applying for a new passport.

Online submission of Visa Application Forms is mandatory. The Embassy of India does not normally accept visa applications at its premises except from Diplomatic/Official passport holders. However, in exceptional and urgent cases, applicants may submit hard copies at the Embassy on working days between 9.30 and 11.30 hours. Such applicants are required to pay an additional fee.

Philippine passport holders, travelling for the purpose of tourism only, can avail of the visa-on-arrival facility at Delhi, Chennai, Mumbai and Kolkata airports. With effect from 15th August 2013, this facility has also been extended at Trivandrum, Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Kochi airports.

Tourist visa requirements:

  • Two recent colour photographs;
  • Passport valid for at least 6 months beyond the contemplated stay in India with photocopy;
  • Copy of the reservation itinerary;
  • Proof of financial standing (recent bank statement, sponsorship letter, etc.);
  • Accommodation arrangements/hotel bookings;
  • In case of non-Filipino applicants who are not resident in Philippines, reasons for applying for visa from Manila.

All fees for applications made at the Embassy are payable in cash.

Processing time for visa to Filipino and Permanent residents is 3 working days.

Fees and other charges are to be paid in Philippine Peso only. The Embassy has no facilities for changing currency.

The Embassy is closed on weekends and public holidays.
