Indian citizens should keep a photocopy of their passport in a safe place. In the event of loss or damage of the original passport, its photocopy helps the applicant in providing important passport details, which are necessary to process the application for duplicate passport. Also, in case of loss or damage of the existing passport, a police declaration must be obtained. It will be needed alongside other documents when applying for a new passport at the Indian Embassy.

Indian Embassy in Poland is also currently accredited to Lithuania.

With effect from July 2010, all visa applications except from persons holding diplomatic / official / UN passports are being accepted only through BLS International service for Poland and Lithuania.

With effect from 1st February, 2015, Visa applicants must have their biometrics (fingerprints and photograph of face) recorded when they submit their applications at the BLS India Visa Center in Warsaw. Visa applications will not be processed until biometric data is received.

Citizens of Poland require a visa to visit India.

General requirements for an Indian visa:

  • Passport valid for at least one year with at least two blank pages for visa;
  • Visa application form (one copy) duly completed and signed by the applicant;
  • One colour passport photograph (full frontal view, 3,5 x 4,5 cm) pasted on the application form;
  • Copy of return ticket or reservation.

Payment for passport and consular services is required to be made only in cash (Polish Zloty).

The Embassy is closed on weekends and Indian and Polish holidays.
