The Embassy of India, Moscow, projects the political, economic, scientific, cultural and other interests of India in Russia and promotes the unique, deep-rooted and long-standing ties of friendship that so closely bind the countries and peoples of India and Russia.

Services provided by the Consular Section:

  • Issuance and renewal of passports;
  • Issuance of emergency certificates;
  • Issuance of OCI cards;
  • Issuance of civil status documents;
  • Issuance of police clearance certificates;
  • Notarial services;
  • Issuance of other documents.

All foreign nationals entering India are required to possess a valid international travel document in the form of a national passport with a valid visa obtained from an Indian Mission or Post abroad. Individual visa seekers are requested to apply for the Indian Visa by filling up the form which is available online and submitting a print-out of the same along with passport, photograph and relevant supporting documents at the Indian Visa Application Centre.

Tourist visa requirements:

  • Original passport with minimum 6 months validity and two blank pages;
  • Visa application form printed out and signed twice: under the photo and after the declaration;
  • One good quality color photograph 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm;
  • Return air ticket;
  • Hotel Booking or notarized invitation from someone in India (along with copy of the photo page and address page of the host’s passport);
  • Copies of the relevant pages of the Internal Passport (front page and the page where the address is mentioned);
  • Copy of the photo page of the International Passport;
  • Copy of birth certificate of the accompanying child (with English translation);
  • No Objection certificate from any one of the parent in case the child is accompanying any relative or friend instead of parents;
  • If the applicant is mass media person additional form "C" requested.

Visa on Arrival facility (enabled by electronic travel authorization) is available for passport holders of Russia.

The Embassy is closed on weekends and public holidays.
