In the event of loss or damage of the original passport, its photocopy helps the applicant in providing important passport details, which are necessary to process the application for duplicate passport. Also, in case of loss or damage of the existing passport, a police declaration must be obtained. It will be needed alongside other documents when applying for a new passport at the Indian Embassy.

Citizens of South Korea are required to apply for a visa to visit India.

Tourist visa checklist:

  • Complete the application form.
  • Print out a completed online application form and sign where applicable.
  • Two recent photographs meeting specifications.
  • Current original passport with a minimum validity of six months which must have at least three blank visa pages.
  • One passport copy.
  • Verification of the mode of payment (deposit receipt issued by bank transfer; online payment receipt, if bank transferred by online).
  • Print the appointment receipt.
  • E-ticket, itinerary, local accommodation vouchers.
  • For non-Korean passport holders: foreigner registration form; ARC (Alien Registration Card) copy of front and back side; two passport copies.

Applicants sending their documents by Post/Courier are requested to ensure that they are completed and meet requirements. Processing times mentioned do not include transit time by post/courier. Transit times by Courier are generally 1-3 days on average and may be higher in remote or rural areas.

  • Average of 5 Working Days including submission day: For Korean nationals
  • A minimum of 8 Calendar days including submission day: For Non-Korean nationals other than Pakistan
  • 2 ~ 3 working days including submission day for Express service: Only for Korean nationals
