Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Beijing, People’s Republic of China is also accredited to Mongolia.
The main services of the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Beijing are to strengthen and promote the bilateral relations between Indonesia and China. The Embassy also provides immigration and consular services for Indonesian citizens as well as foreign nationals.
Consular services provided by the Embassy:
- Passport and emergency travel document;
- Attestation;
- Registering residency;
- Passport data amendment;
- Indonesian citizenship;
- Visas.
In case of lost or stolen passport abroad, Indonesian citizens must report it to the local police and bring police report about the loss/theft of their passport to the nearest Indonesian Embassy to apply for a new passport.
Starting from 2 March 2016, Chinese nationals are among the foreign nationals from 169 countries and territories eligible to travel to Indonesia using Visa Exemption (Free Visa) facilities.
Foreign nationals eligible for Visa Exemption facilities will be granted a maximum stay of 30 (thirty) days. Such facilities are non-extendable and cannot be converted into another type of visa or stay permit.
To be eligible for Visa Exemption, foreign nationals must have in their possession:
- A valid passport with minimum validity of 6 (six) months
- A return ticket or through ticket
- Proof of accommodation arrangements, such as paid hotel bookings or guarantee letters from Indonesian inviters
The Embassy is closed on public holidays.
