The Consular Department at the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Wellington, New Zealand has jurisdiction over New Zealand, Tonga and Samoa.

The Consular department processes Indonesian visas for foreign nationals, Indonesian passports, and documents or other items of immigration or travel concern. In addition, the office also legalizes documents that have any relation to Indonesian institutions.

Indonesian Citizen (WNI) that require Consular services such as self-reporting, passport renewal, domicile certificate, letter of moving/carrying goods, legalization of documents should contact the consular section of the department.

The Legalization service is provided by the Embassy for those who need to legalize New Zealand documents to be used in Indonesia. The Embassy of Indonesia will notarize/legalize any document only after the document has been notarized/legalized/authenticated/verified by the Consular Division Officers of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of New Zealand. The Legalization fee at the Embassy is NZ$ 30 per document and paid by money order or company cheque, or bank cheque, no personal cheque. It takes 3 working days to process.
