Consular services provided by the Embassy:

• Issuance of visas;
• Legalization of Norwegian or foreign documents to be used in Indonesia;
• Issuance of passports;
• Issuance of birth, marriage, name change certificates.

If Indonesian passport is lost, stolen or damaged while in Norway, it should be reported to the local police and a police notification must be obtained and presented to the Indonesian Embassy when applying for a new passport.

A single entry visit visa is issued to a person who intends to have a holiday/leisure, business or social visit purposes in Indonesia. A single entry visa is used for one time only with the maximum stay of 60 days. This visa is possible for extension upon request through the Directorate of Immigration in Indonesia.

Requirements for the visa:

• Passport;
• Visa application form;
• Once recent passport-size photograph in color;
• Flight itinerary;
• Receipt of visa transfer payment;
• Invitation and support letter (for social and business purposes);
• Copy of valid residence permit (for non-Norwegian and Icelandic citizens);
• Visa application by mail should enclose stamp for register post.

Regular service for visa application is 3 working days and no express service provided unless in case of emergency.

Citizens of Norway can also apply for a visa on arrival in Indonesia. Visa on arrival can be obtained directly when a person lands at certain airports and seaports in Indonesia regardless of the purpose of their visit (business, tourist, social). This visa is neither a work visa nor a visitation visa. Therefore, it cannot be converted to obtain other immigration permits. This visa is valid for 30 days and can be extended for maximum another 30 days. 

The Embassy is closed on public holidays.
